Cocolicious.sg
Actually one of the best kept secrets by young Thai coconut lovers in Singapore, this online store has no physical presence and sells only one product – the freshest young Thai coconuts which they call “tear drops” because of the way it’s uniquely shaved that resembles a tear drop. Their customers are regulars and swear by it. We’ve bought some ourselves to see if they live up to the name and it certainly does! The exclusive brand was previously known as yea prince and have been distributors since 1999 to many major brands today. Now they retail online and it’s little wonder why loyalists keep going back to them.
Don’t be baffled by its size, each one of them fills more than a cup full. The water is refreshing and has a very natural sweetness. If we had to nit pick, the only thing we did not really fancy was they were all uncut and sealed which requires us to ‘knock’ them open ourselves, but thanks to a tutorial video they have on their website, it was surprisingly easy, we got em’ open in 3-5 knocks! Low key we’ve got a kick and sense of satisfaction out of it, our kids loved the activity too!
Why uncut young thai coconuts?
There’s a great reason for it to be uncut too, it’s kind of proof the fresh produce was not tampered with in any way, peace of mind. A reach out to them reveals that they do group buys too however you would have to reach out to them via whatsapp or email. We’ve asked for some discount and the response was, join our mailing list when you check out – periodical discounts are only given out to their loyal advocators.
