Elemen defies categorisation as the dishes draw influences from Chinese, Japanese and Italian cuisines, among others. 5. Sufood

All the way from Taiwan, Sufood is an Italian inspired vegetarian restaurant in Singapore. You can check out its four-course ($25.80), six-course ($31.80) and eight-course set meal ($36.80) to try a little bit of everything. Tuck into dishes such as Snowflake Strawberry salad and Smoked Mushroom Risotto.

Afterglow is one of the first vegan hotspots to appear in Singapore. Expect tasty, home-style Peranakan-Thai dishes from Whole Earth. This vegetarian restaurant featured on Singapore’s Michelin Bib Gourmand consecutively since 2016. This burger joint from San Francisco has a range of 100 per cent plant-based, hearty burgers. The patties are made with soy or mushroom and topped with everything from crispy onion rings to grilled pineapple, and vegetables. 12. The Living Cafe

This wholesome cafe is one of the pioneers of the raw food movement in Singapore. There’s a delicious range of raw and vegetarian dishes, while hormone-free chicken and fish also feature on the menu. However, the cafe does not use red meat, cow dairy, and white sugar. You can get a filling Tempeh Buddha Bowl ($18) that has sweet potato, purple cabbage, avocado, kimchi and an almond miso dressing. Craving for good fast food burgers? With nomVnom’s 20 different vegan burgers, you’re spoilt for choice. These patties are made of soy, vegetables, tempeh, jackfruit, or potatoes. This popular restaurant offers a sumptuous vegetarian meal that is not only prepared with the freshest organic ingredients but is incredibly delicious too. The kitchen is helmed by Chef Ryan Clift, who’s crazy about vegetables from Gunma, Japan. The lunch menu has flavourful dishes like the Nori Cracker with yuzu and mushrooms or the Nukazuke Carrot Tartare. Tippling Club is the best spot for fine-dining extravagance.

Eat wholesome, home-style Indian food whilst making a difference. Annalaskshmi isn’t any business venture, but one rooted in service with a eat what you want, and pay what you want concept. This Indian vegetarian restaurant is staffed entirely by volunteers and all donations go to charity. Dishes made are from classic recipes passed down from mothers and grandmothers, such as Dosai, Paneer Manchurian, Narmadha, and more!

You’d be surprised with the innovations of this vegetarian Korean restaurant. Daehwa, the sister restaurant of The Boneless Kitchen, offers plant-based Korean dishes (from $13) like the well-loved Army Stew, Bibimbap topped with fresh vegetables and tofu, Japchae with mushrooms and springy sweet potato noodles. Vegetarian Korean cuisine can be rare, so it’s worth paying a visit!
